Callaway Elyte fairway wood
Game improvement, 3.0 of 5 for forgiveness
Callaway's all-round fairway wood of 2025, rated high for forgiveness on its chart, a step below the Elyte X: a stepped sole that cuts turf contact, a 35-gram tungsten weight set low and forward in the 3- to 7-woods for low strikes, and seven lofts from a 15° 3-wood to a 27° 11-wood. Callaway's own store still listed it new in October 2026, and the Quantum Max replaced it.

What changed in the Quantum Max
The Quantum Max keeps the Elyte's seven lofts, from a 15° 3-wood to a 27° 11-wood with the 20° Heavenwood, their lengths and the left-handed 3-, 5- and 7-woods. Callaway rates it a step higher for forgiveness on its chart (higher against high) and sets every lie a degree more upright, half a degree in the Heavenwood. Its 3-wood is smaller (160cc against 169cc), its loft sleeve reaches the 5-wood where the Elyte has one in the 3-wood and 3HL only, and it swaps the Elyte's 35-gram tungsten weight for Speed Wave 2.0, up to 40 grams low and forward, and the Ai 10x face for a newer Ai-designed face; both have the stepped sole.
Callaway still listed the Elyte new in October 2026, and used ones cost far less than a new Quantum Max. Choose it for the same lofts and lengths for less; choose the Quantum Max for the step up in forgiveness on Callaway's chart, the adjustable 5-wood or a new club.

How the 3.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what Callaway publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 3 | A game improvement fairway wood head, not the most forgiving kind Callaway made. |
| Forgiveness score | 3.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
