What size clubs for a 5'2" woman?
A women's line, whose standard length is about an inch shorter than men's standard. Whether you need it shorter again depends on the maker more than your height: Callaway calls 5'2" to 5'7" standard for its REVA set and sells it half an inch shorter for 5'1" and under, while Precise sells its M3 Ladies set in a petite size for 5'4" and below. Does a beginner need a women's line, or just a ladies flex?
A women's line gives you the shorter length and lighter grip as standard. A men's or unisex club ordered in L flex gives the shaft but usually the men's length, which suits taller golfers. So the women's line suits most shorter golfers, and a taller woman may be better off in a unisex club in L flex; a wrist-to-floor measurement tells you which. The table shows both kinds.
Is graphite or steel better for beginners?
