Cleveland CBZ Full-Face wedge

The Full-Face version of Cleveland's CBZ cavity-back wedge: grooves from hosel to toe on a high-toe face, which Cleveland says gives golfers who make inconsistent contact more spin on off-centre shots, from 50° to 60°, left-handed at 56° and 60°.

What changed from the CBX Full-Face 2

Both are Cleveland's cavity-back wedges with grooves across the whole face and a high toe for open-face shots. The CBX Full-Face 2 has 12° of bounce in every loft, a full sole at 50° and 52° and a C-shaped sole from 54° to 60°, and every loft is 35.5 inches long. Cleveland brought the Full-Face design back as an option on the CBZ, from 50° to 60°, in its new Z-Alloy steel: a V-shaped sole with 12° at 50° and 52°, a C-shaped sole with 12° at 54° and 56° and 10° at 58° and 60°, a quarter inch longer in the gap wedges and a quarter inch shorter in the lob wedges. The CBZ Full-Face is left-handed at 56° and 60°; the CBX Full-Face 2 was at 52°, 56° and 60°.

Cleveland no longer sells the CBX Full-Face 2, so a used one is the way to buy it, for a fraction of the price of a new CBZ. Choose it for a full-face wedge for the least money or a left-handed 52°; choose the CBZ Full-Face for a new wedge, Cleveland's softer Z-Alloy, or a lob wedge with less bounce.
