What changed in the Quantum Max D
Both are Callaway's draw-biased 460cc driver for the most forgiveness in their line, in 9°, 10.5° and 12° at 45.75 inches, with an adjustable loft. The Elyte X has a weight with neutral and draw settings; the Quantum Max D keeps its draw weight inside the heel, and replaces the Ai 10x face with the Tri-Force face of titanium, Poly Mesh and carbon fibre.
Callaway still sells the Elyte X new, for less than the Quantum Max D; this page shows both prices. Choose it for the same slice help for less, with a weight you can set back to neutral; choose the Quantum Max D for Callaway's newest face.

How the 4.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what Callaway publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 4 | A maximum-forgiveness driver head, the most forgiving kind Callaway made. |
| Forgiveness score | 4.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
