Callaway Rogue ST MAX D driver
Maximum forgiveness, 4.0 of 5
Callaway's 2022 draw driver for golfers who want, in its words, maximum levels of forgiveness: a very high MOI, a stretched head, a 2-gram heel weight and 20 grams of tungsten low and deep. Callaway's own store still sold it new in January 2026, and the Quantum Max D is the current model in its line.

What changed in the Quantum Max D
Both are Callaway's draw-biased head for the most forgiveness, 460cc, in 9°, 10.5° and 12° and both hands. The Rogue ST MAX D sets 20 grams of tungsten low and deep and a 2-gram weight in the heel of a titanium body with a carbon crown and sole, and Callaway rated its flight Draw. The Quantum Max D puts its weight inside the heel for a slight draw and has Callaway's Tri-Force face of titanium, polymer mesh and carbon fibre, which Callaway says holds speed on off-centre hits.
Used, the Rogue ST MAX D costs a fraction of a new Quantum Max D. Choose it for Callaway's 2022 draw head on a budget; choose the Quantum Max D for a new club and the newer face.

How the 4.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what Callaway publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 4 | A maximum-forgiveness driver head, the most forgiving kind Callaway made. |
| Forgiveness score | 4.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
