Cleveland Smart Sole 4 wedge
Cleveland's 2020 wedge for golfers who struggle around the green, which it said delivers maximum forgiveness: an extra wide three-tier sole with added bounce at the leading edge, as a 42° chipper, a 50° gap and a 58° sand wedge. Cleveland no longer sells the Smart Sole 4 new, and the Smart Sole Full-Face replaced it.

What changed in the Smart Sole Full-Face
Both are Cleveland's wedges for golfers who need the most help around the green, with an extra wide three-tier sole and extra bounce at the leading edge, in a 42° chipper, a 50° gap and a 58° sand wedge, right- or left-handed. The Full-Face adds a 64° lob wedge, and Cleveland gives it bigger faces with grooves across the whole face: up to 46% more striking area than the matching Smart Sole 4.
Cleveland no longer sells the Smart Sole 4, so a used one is the way to buy it, for a fraction of the price of a new Full-Face. Choose it for the cheapest chipper or sand wedge of this kind; choose the Full-Face for the larger face, the 64° lob wedge or a new club.
