Titleist GT280 mini driver

Players distance, 2.0 of 5 for forgiveness

Titleist's 2025 mini driver, sold as a 2-wood: a 280cc head with a flatter sole for tight lies, in 13° only. Titleist pitched it on distance and control, not forgiveness. The GTS300 replaced it.

Choose it if

  • You strike it well and want a club between the driver and the 3-wood.
  • You play left-handed: it is sold left-handed.
  • You want to spend less: $399 is in the cheapest third of the 4 we price.

Choose something else if

  • The smallest head here: for more help on a mishit, the GTS300 that replaced it is bigger, at 305cc.

What changed in the GTS300

Titleist replaced the GT280 with the GTS300 in July 2026. Both come in 13° only, left- or right-handed, with a 56° lie, a 43.5-inch standard length, a forged face that wraps under the sole and two weight positions, and both have the same face height for shots off the turf. The GTS300's head is bigger, 305cc against 280cc, with its weight set deeper: Titleist puts the gain at about 15 to 20% more inertia, the head's resistance to twisting on a mishit, and sells the GTS300 on forgiveness where it sold the GT280 on its player-preferred shape.

The GT280 still sells new for less than the GTS300, and used for less again; the table has both prices. It suits a good striker who hits it mostly off the fairway. Choose the GTS300 for the bigger, more forgiving head.
