Choose the HD if your drives curve right or fly low.
Choose the Stealth 2 if your flight is already straight and you want less spin or an extra stiff shaft.
Both are 460cc heads with TaylorMade's carbon Twist Face, a carbon composite ring and a 4° loft sleeve, in 9°, 10.5° and 12°, left-handed in 9° and 10.5° only. TaylorMade's chart rated both highest for forgiveness, and it called the HD the most stable and forgiving driver in the family: the HD sets its weight toward the heel for a draw, is a quarter inch shorter (45.5 inches against 45.75) with a lie two degrees more upright, and is rated to launch high with mid spin, against mid-high and mid-low for the Stealth 2. The HD scores 4 of 5 here and the Stealth 2 3. The HD came in senior, regular and stiff on one Fujikura shaft; the Stealth 2 adds an extra stiff.
TaylorMade's all-round driver of 2023, rated highest for forgiveness on its chart, as the draw-biased Stealth 2 HD was: a carbon face, a carbon composite ring and a 25-gram weight at the back, in 9°, 10.5° or 12°.

TaylorMade says the Stealth 2 has a higher moment of inertia than the Stealth, with a 25-gram tungsten weight at the back and nearly twice as much carbon, a carbon composite ring among it.
Both are their maker's all-round driver of the same season, rated highest for forgiveness on their charts beside a more forgiving sibling (the Paradym X, the draw-biased Stealth 2 HD), so both score 3 of 5 here.
