What changed in the Qi4D Max

Both are TaylorMade's most forgiving driver of their year: 460cc, with a carbon Twist Face and a 4° loft sleeve, in 9°, 10.5° and 12°, 45.75 inches long as standard, and rated for a high launch and mid spin on TaylorMade's charts. The Stealth HD, from TaylorMade's first family of carbon-faced drivers, is built to draw the ball, with its weight set toward the heel, and its 12° was right-handed only. The Qi4D Max has no draw bias, comes in every loft in either hand, and has two weights you can swap (13 and 4 grams) and a forged aluminium collar that TaylorMade says makes it its first modern driver without titanium.

Used Stealth HDs cost less than used Stealth 2 HDs and a fraction of a new Qi4D Max. Choose the Stealth HD for a draw-biased head for the least money; choose the Qi4D Max for a new head, a left-handed 12°, or weights that tune its flight.
