Wilson Infinite Zero Torque The 606 putter

Zero torque, 4.0 of 5 for forgiveness

Wilson's zero-torque mallet: the shaft axis sits over the head's centre of gravity, so the face resists turning, with 1° of forward shaft lean and two lines that frame the ball, in either hand.

How the 4.0 adds up

The forgiveness score is our reading of what Wilson publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.

ConstructionWilson's page calls the 606 a mid-mallet, and its details table lists the head shape as Large Mallet. In Wilson's words, Zero Torque technology is "precise CG (Center of Gravity) placement under the central shaft axis", which "creates reduced torque for less face rotation throughout the stroke"; the details table lists the toe hang as Zero Torque. The head is made by metal injection molding (MIM) and has 1° of forward shaft lean built in. Two alignment lines frame the ball at address, with a single dot between them. Double-milled face, a black PVD anti-glare finish on the head and the steel shaft, and the Infinite Midsize grip, multi-textured with no taper, which Wilson says minimizes wrist and hand rotation. Wilson publishes no loft, lie, head weight or MOI figure.
