XXIO 14 driver
Game improvement, 3.0 of 5 for forgiveness
XXIO's lightweight driver for golfers with moderate swing speeds, which XXIO says gives more forgiveness and a higher, straighter flight: a 460cc head in 9.5°, 10.5° or 11.5° on a 36-gram shaft, 46 inches long.

What changed from the XXIO 13
Both are XXIO's lightweight 460cc drivers for moderate swing speeds, in 9.5°, 10.5° and 11.5° with a 59° lie. The XXIO 14 is half an inch longer (46 inches against 45.5), its stock shaft is a gram heavier (36 g against 35 g), and it sells the 11.5° left-handed as well as the 10.5°; XXIO moves to a new titanium for the face and body and adds a weight system to fine-tune the flight. Dunlop names no forgiveness class for the XXIO 13, while XXIO says the XXIO 14 gives more forgiveness; neither is sold as XXIO's most forgiving head, so both score 3.0 here.
XXIO's own store still sells the XXIO 13 new, for $270 less than the XXIO 14, and used ones cost less again. Choose it for XXIO's light build for less; choose the XXIO 14 for the longer shaft or a left-handed 11.5°.

What changed from the XXIO 12
XXIO followed the XXIO 12 with the XXIO 13 in 2024, then the XXIO 14. All three are XXIO's lightweight 460cc drivers for moderate swing speeds, in 9.5°, 10.5° and 11.5° with a 59° lie. The XXIO 14 is a quarter of an inch longer (46 inches against 45.75) and about the same weight (283 g against 282 g); it sells the 11.5° left-handed as well as the 10.5°, where the XXIO 12 made the left-handed 11.5° only to order. XXIO moves to a new titanium for the face and body and adds a weight system to fine-tune the flight. XXIO names no forgiveness class for the XXIO 12, while it says the XXIO 14 gives more forgiveness; neither is sold as XXIO's most forgiving head, so both score 3.0 here.
XXIO still builds the XXIO 12 driver to order at its launch price, $699.99, but Golf Discount sold it new on 16 Oct for far less than a new XXIO 14, right-handed only, and used ones cost less again. Choose it for XXIO's light build for the least money; choose the XXIO 14 for the longer shaft, the weight system or a left-handed 11.5°.

How the 3.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what XXIO publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 3 | A game improvement driver head, not the most forgiving kind XXIO makes. |
| Forgiveness score | 3.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
