Choose the G440 if your longer clubs slice or you want a 7-hybrid.
Choose the DS-ADAPT for the finer hosel settings.
DS-ADAPT $179 · G440 $267, each with its shop and checked date
Both are forgiving hybrids that score 4 of 5, with an adjustable hosel and a low centre of gravity. PING sells the G440 in six lofts from 17° to 34°, with a slight draw built into the 5, 6 and 7 hybrids and the 3 and 4 neutral, and an HL build for slower swings; its hosel moves the loft 1.5° either way. Cobra's DS-ADAPT comes in five lofts from 17° to 28°, with an 8-gram weight as low in the sole as Cobra could set it for a high flight, and a hosel with 33 loft and lie settings, two degrees either way. Their lofts step differently: 19°, 21°, 24° and 28° on the Cobra against 20°, 23°, 26° and 30° on the PING, so check which fills the gap above your longest iron. The DS-ADAPT comes left-handed in 19° and 21° only; the G440 also comes in extra stiff.
Cobra's 2025 hybrid, the only one in its DS-ADAPT range, in five lofts from 17° to 28°: an 8-gram weight as low in the sole as Cobra could set it for a high flight, a larger forged face insert, and a hosel with 33 loft and lie settings.
