Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke MAX Fast driver
Game improvement, 3.0 of 5 for forgiveness
The light model of Callaway's 2024 Ai Smoke drivers, built with high MOI and a head stretched back at address for players who want easy launch: a fixed hosel, a weight at the back and a draw bias, in 10.5° or 12°, right-handed only. Callaway's own drivers list no longer showed the Ai Smoke MAX Fast by June 2026; the Elyte Max Fast followed it, and the Quantum Max Fast is the newest model in its line.

What changed in the Quantum Max Fast
Both are Callaway's light 460cc driver for a moderate swing, 45.75 inches long, in 10.5° or 12° on a 40-gram shaft in Callaway's light R2 flex. The Ai Smoke MAX Fast has a fixed hosel, a 5-gram weight at the back, a draw bias on Callaway's chart and the Ai Smart Face, and Callaway made it right-handed only. The Quantum Max Fast adds an adjustable loft sleeve, comes in either hand, and has Callaway's Tri-Force face of titanium, polymer mesh and carbon fibre. The Elyte Max Fast came between them.
No shop we checked sells the Ai Smoke MAX Fast new, and used ones cost far less than a new Quantum Max Fast. Choose it for a light, draw-biased head for less if you play right-handed; choose the Quantum Max Fast to set the loft yourself, to play left-handed or for the newer face.

How the 3.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what Callaway publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 3 | A game improvement driver head, not the most forgiving kind Callaway made. |
| Forgiveness score | 3.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
