TaylorMade Qi10 Max fairway wood
Maximum forgiveness, 4.0 of 5
TaylorMade's most forgiving fairway wood of 2024, a 200cc 3-wood with its weight set low and to the back, which TaylorMade called the easiest to hit in its Qi10 line, in three lofts from 16° to 22°. Golf Discount still sold it new on 16 Oct 2026, in two builds; the Qi35 Max replaced it, and the Qi4D Max replaced the Qi35 Max.

What changed in the Qi4D Max
Both are TaylorMade's most forgiving fairway wood of their year, at the same lengths, with a 200cc 3-wood. The Qi4D Max makes each loft a degree stronger (15°, 18° and 21° against 16°, 19° and 22°) and adds a 24° 9-wood; its 5- and 7-woods are larger (190cc and 170cc against 180cc and 165cc). Its 3- and 5-woods carry a 4° loft sleeve, which the Qi10 Max did not have (the Qi35 Max between them added it), and it adds an 8-gram weight that tunes flight, spin and swing weight. The Fujikura Speeder NX TCS shafts give way to Mitsubishi's REAX FW, in the same senior, regular and stiff flexes and a lighter ladies shaft. The Qi10 Max was left-handed in all three lofts; the Qi4D Max is left-handed in the 3-, 5- and 7-woods, not the 9-wood.
Golf Discount still sells the Qi10 Max new for well under the Qi4D Max's price, but on 16 Oct only as a left-handed 3-wood in regular or stiff flex; used ones in other lofts and flexes cost less again. It suits a golfer who wants a high-launching, forgiving TaylorMade fairway wood without adjustment, for less; choose the Qi4D Max for a new club in the loft, flex and hand you want, a 9-wood, or the loft sleeve and weight.

How the 4.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what TaylorMade publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 4 | A maximum-forgiveness fairway wood head, the most forgiving kind TaylorMade made. |
| Forgiveness score | 4.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
