TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway wood

Game improvement, 3.0 of 5 for forgiveness

TaylorMade's all-round fairway wood of 2023, rated higher for forgiveness on its chart, a step below the Stealth 2 HD: a 185cc 3-wood under a carbon crown, with a heavy weight set low at the back for a higher launch, one lie per loft and no loft sleeve, from a 15° 3-wood to a 24° 9-wood. TaylorMade no longer sells the Stealth 2 new; the Qi10 and Qi35 followed it, and the Qi4D is the newest model in its line.

What changed in the Qi4D

The Qi4D keeps the Stealth 2's five lofts, from a 15° 3-wood to a 24° 9-wood with the 16.5° 3HL, their lengths and head sizes (185cc in the 3-wood), and its place on TaylorMade's chart, rated higher for forgiveness; TaylorMade lists its launch as mid against the Stealth 2's mid-high. It adds a 4° loft sleeve in every loft, so loft and lie can be changed where the Stealth 2 has one lie per loft, an 8-gram movable weight, a left-handed 7-wood and a ladies flex. It drops the left-handed 3HL: the Stealth 2 was made left-handed in the 16.5° 3HL, and the Qi10, Qi35 and Qi4D make it right-handed only.

TaylorMade no longer sells the Stealth 2, so it is bought used, for much less than a new Qi4D. Choose it for the same lofts, lengths and head sizes at the lowest price, or for a left-handed 3HL; choose the Qi4D for the loft sleeve, the movable weight, a left-handed 7-wood or a ladies flex.
