Choose the GT1 if your swing is moderate or you want a 12° driver.
Choose the GT2 if you swing faster and want the more stable head.
GT1 $449 · GT2 $449, each with its shop and checked date
Both are 460cc heads of Titleist's GT range, with a polymer crown, weight split between the back of the head and low in the front, one back weight you can swap and a 45.5-inch standard length, in either hand. The GT1 is the light one: Titleist built it for moderate swing speeds, with the deepest centre of gravity and the shallowest face of the GT drivers, in 9°, 10° and 12°. The GT2 is the higher-MOI head, sold for maximum distance and forgiveness, in 8°, 9°, 10° and 11°. Titleist named no class for the GT1, so it scores 3 of 5 for forgiveness here against the GT2's 4, and 4 for a slow swing against the GT2's 3. Titleist still sells the GT1; it replaced the GT2 with the GTS2.
