Titleist GT1 or GTS2?
What changed from the TSR1
Both are Titleist's lightweight 460cc drivers for moderate swing speeds, in 9°, 10° and 12° in either hand with a 59° lie. The GT1 is a quarter of an inch shorter (45.5 inches against 45.75), has a crown in a polymer Titleist first used in the GT line, and sets its weight deeper, the deepest of the GT drivers, for a higher launch; it adds a titanium ring around the face, an interchangeable back weight and a standard-weight build beside the light one. The TSR1 came on one ultra-light shaft, Mitsubishi's MMT SpeedMesh; the GT1 has three featured shafts. Titleist names no forgiveness class for either, so both score 3.0 here.
Titleist no longer sells the TSR1, but Golf Discount still builds it new for less than a GT1, and used ones cost less again. Choose it for Titleist's light build for less; choose the GT1 for the deeper weighting Titleist says launches higher, the back weight and the wider choice of shafts.

What changed from the TSi1
Titleist followed the TSi1 with the TSR1 in 2023 and the GT1 in 2025. Both are lightweight 460cc heads for moderate swing speeds, in 9°, 10° and 12° with a 59° lie. The TSi1 came left-handed in 10° only, on Aldila's Ascent shaft, with an ultra-thin titanium crown, a face in ATI 425 aerospace titanium and its weight set for the most draw bias of any Titleist driver then. The GT1 comes in every loft in either hand, with a polymer crown, a titanium ring around the face, the deepest centre of gravity of the GT drivers for a higher launch, one interchangeable back weight and three featured shafts. Titleist gives neither head a forgiveness class, so the TSi1 and the GT1 both score 3.0 here.
Titleist no longer sells the TSi1 and we found no shop selling it new, but used ones cost a fraction of a new GT1. Choose a used TSi1 for a light Titleist head with a draw bias for little money; choose the GT1 for a left-handed 9° or 12°, the back weight and the wider choice of shafts.

How the 3.0 adds up
The forgiveness score is our reading of what Titleist publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.
| Part | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Head | 3 | A driver head Titleist names no forgiveness class for. |
| Forgiveness score | 3.0 | of 5 |
Draw help, lofts, flex and hand don't change the score. They decide which version fits you, and the picks for a slice or a slow swing use them.
