Choose a used TSR2 for the faster head with the higher measured MOI, for the least money.
Choose the GT2 for the tighter grouping Golf Digest's robot found, used or from a shop that still has it new.
The GT2 replaced the TSR2 in Titleist's driver range. Both are 460cc heads in 8°, 9°, 10° and 11° in either hand, with a 58.5° lie, a 45.5-inch standard length and the same SureFit hosel. The GT2 is the higher-MOI head of Titleist's GT range, with its mass shifted to the back and a polymer crown; Titleist sold it for maximum distance and forgiveness, so it scores 4 of 5 here. Titleist called the TSR2 its max driver for speed and stability, with a face more forgiving on off-centre strikes, but named no forgiveness class, so it scores 3. Tested by others, the two split: Golf Digest's Japanese edition measured the higher MOI in the TSR2's head (5,021 against 4,835 g-cm²) and a deeper centre of gravity, while Golf Digest's swing robot in the US grouped the GT2's shots tighter and measured faster ball speeds from the TSR2. Titleist sells neither now: the GTS2 replaced the GT2.
Titleist's 2022 driver for golfers who strike the ball all over the face: a 460cc head with a face built up in layers to keep ball speed on off-centre hits, in 8°, 9°, 10° or 11°.
Titleist's 2022 driver for golfers who strike the ball all over the face: a 460cc head with a face built up in layers to keep ball speed on off-centre hits, in 8°, 9°, 10° or 11°.
Both are 460cc heads of Titleist's GT range, with a polymer crown, weight split between the back of the head and low in the front, one back weight you can swap and a 45.5-inch standard length, in either hand.
Both are 460cc Titleist heads with a face built up in layers, sold in either hand, and both score 3 of 5 here, because Titleist named a forgiveness class for neither.
