TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD fairway wood

Maximum forgiveness, 4.0 of 5

TaylorMade's most forgiving fairway wood of 2023 by its own chart, which it called its highest-MOI fairway ever: an oversized 200cc 3-wood with a long, shallow, low profile and a draw bias, in lofts of 16°, 19° and 23°. TaylorMade's own store still listed the Stealth 2 HD fairway on 18 Oct 2026, at a reduced price, but said it was not available; the Qi10 Max and Qi35 Max followed it, and the Qi4D Max is the newest model in its line.

What changed in the Qi4D Max

TaylorMade's tables give the Stealth 2 HD a degree more loft than the Qi4D Max in the 3- and 5-woods (16° and 19° against 15° and 18°) and two more in the 7-wood (23° against 21°), at the same lengths, and the Qi4D Max adds a 24° 9-wood. Both 3-woods are 200cc; the Qi4D Max's 5-wood is larger (190cc against 185cc). The Qi4D Max's 3- and 5-woods carry a 4° loft sleeve and it adds an 8-gram weight that tunes flight, spin and swing weight, where the Stealth 2 HD's hosel is fixed and its draw is built in. The Qi4D Max makes the 7-wood left-handed as well, and swaps the Fujikura Speeder NX Red shaft for Mitsubishi's REAX FW, with a ladies flex added.

Used Stealth 2 HD fairway woods cost a fraction of a new Qi4D Max. Choose the Stealth 2 HD for a draw-biased fairway wood that launches easily, for little money; choose the Qi4D Max for the loft sleeve and weight, a 9-wood, a left-handed 7-wood or a ladies flex.
