Both were their maker's most forgiving driver in the same year, and both score 4 of 5. PING puts a figure on the G430 MAX 10K, past 10,000 g-cm² of combined moment of inertia, from a fixed 28-gram weight low and deep in its largest head; Cobra calls the DARKSPEED MAX its highest-MOI design but prints no figure. The difference you can use is the weight: fixed on the 10K, and on the DARKSPEED MAX moved between the back for the most stability and the heel for a draw. Both hosels move the loft 1.5° either way, and three of Cobra's eight settings add draw. Both come in 9°, 10.5° and 12° in either hand; the 10K also in extra stiff and in a lighter HL build. Both have been replaced, by PING's G440 K and Cobra's OPTM MAX-K.

The G430 MAX 10K is built for stability above all: a fixed back weight set low and deep and PING's largest head shape took it past 10,000 g-cm² of combined MOI, and PING called it the straightest, most forgiving driver it had made.
Both are 460cc G430 heads in 9°, 10.5° and 12° and both hands, with the same eight-position hosel that moves the loft up to 1.5° either way, and PING still lists both while stock lasts.
