Choose the G430 MAX 10K for PING's high-MOI head for less, new while PING's stock lasts or used.
Choose the G440 K if you slice and want the draw setting, or want the newest head.
G430 MAX 10K $449.98 · G440 K $647, each with its shop and checked date
The G440 K replaced the G430 MAX 10K as PING's straightest, most forgiving driver. The 10K was the first PING head past 10,000 g-cm² of combined MOI; PING calls the G440 K's MOI a record for a PING driver, but prints no figure. Both are 460cc heads in 9°, 10.5° and 12°, with the same eight-position hosel and a 58.5° lie. The difference you can use is the back weight: fixed low and deep on the 10K, moved between neutral, draw and fade on the G440 K. The G440 K also adds carbon to the sole, a lighter hosel and a 46-inch standard length against 45.75 inches.
PING's straightest, most forgiving driver before the G440 K: a fixed 28-gram back weight set low and deep in PING's largest head shape took it past 10,000 g-cm² of combined MOI. In 9°, 10.5° or 12°.

The G430 MAX 10K is built for stability above all: a fixed back weight set low and deep and PING's largest head shape took it past 10,000 g-cm² of combined MOI, and PING called it the straightest, most forgiving driver it had made.
Both are 460cc G430 heads in 9°, 10.5° and 12° and both hands, with the same eight-position hosel that moves the loft up to 1.5° either way, and PING still lists both while stock lasts.
Both were their maker's most forgiving driver head, built round a combined moment of inertia of 10,000: PING says the G430 MAX 10K passed 10,000 g-cm², and Cobra says the DS-ADAPT MAX-K reached a combined 10,000 without saying how the figure is made up.
