Choose a used TSi2 for the deeper, more stable head.
Choose a used TSR2 for the newer face or an 8° loft.
The TSR2 replaced the TSi2 in Titleist's driver range. Both are 460cc heads with a 58.5° lie and the SureFit hosel, in either hand; the TSi2 came in 9°, 10° and 11°, and the TSR2 adds an 8°. The TSi2 has an ATI 425 titanium face and its centre of gravity set deep and low, and Titleist sold it for maximum distance and forgiveness with a high-MOI design, so it scores 4 of 5 here. The TSR2 has a face built up in layers for nearly the same speed across it and its centre of gravity moved lower and further forward; Titleist called it a max driver for speed and stability but named no forgiveness class, so it scores 3. Titleist sells neither now.
Titleist's 2020 forgiving driver, sold for "maximum distance and forgiveness": a stable, high-MOI 460cc head with its weight set deep and low and a face in aerospace titanium, in 9°, 10° or 11°.
Titleist's 2022 driver for golfers who strike the ball all over the face: a 460cc head with a face built up in layers to keep ball speed on off-centre hits, in 8°, 9°, 10° or 11°.
