Two earlier PING irons a step apart: the G430 is PING's game improvement head, the G730 its super game improvement head, and the G730 forgives more, 5 of 5 here against 3.5. It has the wider sole and more offset (5.1 mm at the 7-iron against 4.6 mm), and a 28° 7-iron against 29°. PING now builds both only as fill-in or replacement clubs, so most sets are bought used.
PING's game improvement iron before the G440, with the same 4.6 mm of offset and the same 29° 7-iron; PING added a 41° pitching wedge to fill the gap its stronger lofts left.
