TaylorMade Qi vs Mizuno JPX925 Hot Metal irons

Choose the Hot Metal if a slice is part of your miss.

Choose the Qi if you need a softer flex, or your irons miss to the right.

Qi $899.99JPX925 Hot Metal $962.50, each with its shop and checked date

Two game improvement irons with the same 28° 7-iron, and the JPX925 Hot Metal scores a little higher here, 3.5 of 5 against 3. Mizuno prints what TaylorMade does not: 4.8 mm of offset at the 7-iron and the width of every sole, with tungsten low in the 4- to 7-irons for a higher launch. TaylorMade prints no offset for the Qi, but says it built the face against the right miss that most game improvement irons favour. The Qi is half a degree to a degree stronger in the 4-, 5- and 6-irons and its PW a degree weaker (43° against 42°); both have a 37° 9-iron, a 48° wedge after the PW and a 54° sand wedge. The Qi comes in senior and ladies flex as well as regular and stiff; the Hot Metal in regular or stiff.
