Compare these 3 in full · Titleist T350 vs T250 irons · Titleist T200 (2023) vs T250 irons · TaylorMade P790 vs Titleist T250 irons · Titleist T150 vs T250 irons

What changed from the T200 (2023)

Titleist renamed the T200 the T250 in 2025 and redesigned it. Both have a 30.5° 7-iron, and Titleist prints the same lofts from the 5-iron to the 48° W; the T250's 4-iron is 22° against the T200's 21°, and the T250 adds a 2- and a 3-iron. The T200 is a hollow body with a forged face and a polymer core, with the same blade length and offset as Titleist's T100 and T150 players' irons. The T250 is built all in steel, with a thicker topline and a wider sole than the T100 and T150, a forged face, split tungsten weighting and progressive grooves. Titleist publishes no offset or sole width for either.

A used 2023 set costs well under a new T250, and Titleist Certified also lists new 2023 sets. Choose the T200 for the same lofts for less, if a used set comes in your flex; choose the T250 for a new set built in your hand, shaft and flex, with the wider sole Titleist gives it.

Titleist T200 (2023) vs T250 irons, head to head

What changed from the T200 (2021)

Titleist kept the 2021 T200's 4-iron, P and W lofts in today's T250 (22°, 43° and 48°), made the T250 a degree stronger in the 5- and 6-irons and half a degree from the 7-iron to the 9-iron (a 30.5° 7-iron against 31°), and added a 2- and a 3-iron. The 2021 T200 is a compact hollow body with a polymer core behind a forged face and the same offset as the T100. The T250, which followed the 2023 T200, is built all in steel, with a thicker topline and a wider sole than the T100 and T150, a forged face and split tungsten weighting. Titleist prints no offset or sole width for the 2021 T200 or the T250.

Used sets cost far less than a new T250; this page shows the used price. Choose the T200 for nearly the same lofts for much less, if a used set comes in your hand and flex; choose the T250 for a new set built in your hand, shaft and flex, with the wider sole Titleist gives it.

After the gap wedge (W, 48°): with a 56° sand wedge, the 8° gap leaves room for one more wedge, at about 52°.

Callaway's iron fitting guide puts your first wedge 4° to 6° above the highest-lofted wedge in your iron set. A gap in degrees is not a gap in yards. To choose that wedge, see the forgiving wedges by loft and bounce.

Use the iron finder to compare sets for your usual miss, and check the set makeup and loft gaps before ordering.

How the 2.0 adds up

The forgiveness score is our reading of what Titleist publishes about the head, from 1 to 5. It is not a test result. How every score works.

The parts of the forgiveness score
PartPointsWhy
Head class 2 Players distance: a compact head that forgives a little.
Offset +0 Titleist doesn't publish a 7-iron offset, so offset earns no point.
Sole +0 Titleist doesn't publish a sole width, so the sole earns no point.
Forgiveness score2.0of 5

The score rates the head only. Hand, flex and price decide which version you buy, not how forgiving it is. Titleist does not publish a 7-iron offset or a sole width.
