Earlier models

Each earlier model's page says what its successor changed. The used forgiving clubs guide covers the other clubs in the bag, and the used drivers page the club these sit behind.

Questions buyers ask

Is a used fairway wood or hybrid worth buying?

Often, if you buy the exact model and loft you want and check it first. The cheapest here is the PING G25 at $41.99; read its condition before you pay.

Which loft should I look for?

The one that fills the gap in your bag, not the one that is cheapest. A hybrid usually takes the place of a long iron (a 4 hybrid for a 4-iron), and a 5-wood or 7-wood sits between your 3-wood or driver and the longest hybrid. Every listing here names its club and loft, and the hybrid vs fairway wood guide helps you choose between them.

How do I check a used fairway wood or hybrid?

Match the model name on the sole to the listing, check the loft and, on an adjustable head, the hosel setting, and make sure the shaft's flex is yours and the adapter is the maker's own. Look at the face and the crown for dents or cracks, and at the sole, which takes the wear on these clubs. Then read the shop's condition grade and return terms.

Where do these used prices come from?

From the lowest-priced listing for that model at the shop named, read on the day shown. A used price is for that one club, in that loft, flex and condition; another listing of the same model can cost more or less.
